First Holy Communion
May 14, 2011

 

 

    The schedule for the 2010-11 is as follows:

SACRAMENTAL CALENDAR – 2ND GRADE

09/22/2010 – Wednesday – 7:00-8:30pm – First Reconciliation Parent Meeting

(St. Mary School Gym).  This meeting is for all parents of those students who will be preparing to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation in November.  This is an important meeting and should be attended by at least one parent or family member.

 

11/20/2010 - Saturday - 11:00am - First Reconciliation (St. Mary's Church)

 

01/05/2011 – Wednesday – 7:00-8:15pm – First Communion Parent Meeting

(St. Mary’s Church).  This meeting is for parents/guardians of those children who are preparing to receive the Eucharist in May.  This is an important meeting and should be attended by at least one parent or family member.

 

01/09/2011 - Sunday - 9:00-10:00am - First Communion Enrollment Ceremony (St. Mary’s Church).  All First Communion Candidates are expected to attend the 9:00 mass where they will be introduced to the Parish and commit to preparation required to receive their first holy communion.  There will be a regular PSR session at its normal time in the school.

 

02/16/2011 – Wednesday – 6:00-7:00pm – First Communion Music Introduction

(St. Mary’s Church).  All children preparing to receive First Communion are expected to attend this presentation of the music that will be used during the First Communion mass.  Catechists will be given a copy of the music to take away and practice at this time.

 

05/07/2011 - Saturday - 9:00am-1:00pm - PSR Jesus Day (St. Mary's Church & Garrity Center).  This is a day for both parent and First Communicants.  It is a day of reflection, preparation and fun-filled activities all centered around their reception of the Holy Eucharist.

 

05/11/2011 - Wednesday - 6:00-7:00pm - First Communion Song Practice (St. Mary's Church).

 

05/11/2011 – Wednesday - 7:30-8:00pm - First Communion Group Picture (St. Mary's Church).

 

05/11/2011 – Wednesday – 8:00-8:15pm – First Communion Blessing of Religious Articles & Gifts (St. Mary’s Church).  Students & families should bring any gifts a/or religious articles to church for a blessing by the priest.

 

05/12/2011 – Thursday - St. Mary's School Jesus Day (St. Mary's Church & Garrity Center).  This is a day for First Communicants from our school.  It is a day of reflection, preparation and fun-filled activities all centered around their reception of the Holy Eucharist.

 

05/12/2011Thursday - 6:00-7:30pm - First Communion Practice - 10:30 mass (St. Mary's Church).  This practice will be for all those attending the “traditional” group ceremony.

 

05/13/2011 – Friday - 6:00-7:30pm - First Communion Practice - 1:00 mass (St. Mary's Church).  This practice will be for those attending the “family” ceremony.  Parents are required to attend to assure proper seating.

 

05/14/2011 - Saturday - First Communion celebrated at 9:00am (traditional) and 11:00am (family) in St. Mary's Church.  Individual pictures are taken between the masses.  Envelopes for payment are to be turned into the photographer at the time of your sitting.
