Sacraments: This website is setup as a text-based site to ease access for all users of the Internet. The site contains a Navigation Bar (above right) that allows the ability to directly access each of the available ministries within the Religious Ed Office. At the "PSR" & "Youth Ministry" pages there are additional Navigation Bars that allows the user to find information about the Programs within those ministries. Both pages also have a link to event photos. To view a calendar of events & activities within the REO, select the "REO Calendar" link. The "Links & Locations" option will take the user to other related sites that support our programs. The "Contact REO" option (above) allows anyone to send an e-mail to our office. |

Sacrament of Reconciliation
On Saturday, November 22, 2008 the parish 2nd graders will be receiving the sacrament of Reconciliation at the Church of St. Mary. Please follow the "Blue" navigation link (on the left of the page) for more information about the Service.

PSR / Teen Faith Program
Please call (440) 243-8221 if your child will not be attending one of these sessions!
Our next PSR session(s) will be Sunday, November 16th for children in grades Pre-K through 3rd grade and Monday, November 17th at 7:00pm for children for grades 4 through 7. For current "happenings" follow the PSR navigation link on the Gold Bar (above).
The next class in the Teen Faith Program (session 2) will be Sunday, November 16th from 6:00-7:30pm and Monday, November 17th from 7:00-8:30pm. Both classes will be held in the school. The topic is:
"What if God were one of us? . . . finding God in real life" (Vol 2)

St. Mary's Advent Retreat

PSR Registration
PSR Parents are reminded to turn in their 2008-09 registrations as soon as possible so that we can have an accurate count of new and returning students. If you have misplaced your original mailed forms just follow the Registration Docs navigation button on the Gold Bar (above).

We have a need for both Sunday & Monday Catechists substitutes. If you are interested in helping us out, please contact the REO at 440.243.8221.
G.I.F.T.S.S.
The PSR "GIFTSS" (Giving Individualized Faith Training to Special Students) program provides a unique opportunity to share our faith with special needs children. The program has been in existence for 2 years, helping children and young adults to understand their faith a little better.
Our program is led by 2 qualifed Intervention Specialists who are capable of working with all types of special needs.

************************************************************************** Our site is dedicated to providing information about those activities that are part of the REO, including:
Parish School of Religion (PSR). PSR consists of the Faith Formation programs for children in grades PRE-K - 7. It includes the Sacramental preparation associated with First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion, both occurring in the 2nd grade. If you wish to access the sacramental information directly, there is a navigation bar on the left of this page. The PSR program gathers at two different days/times, 10:30am-11:30am on Sunday mornings (grades PRE-K - 3rd) and 7:00pm-8:15pm on Monday evenings (grades 4 - 7). Our sessions generally start in September and end at the the beginning of May, with a break at both Christmas and Easter time.
Parish Youth Ministry. The Youth Ministry deals with maturing & strengthening the Faith of our Parish Teens. This is done through a number of activities . . . - Teen Faith Program is for our 8th & 9th grade youth. The Program is a series of topics that address the issues that affect this group of young people on a daily basis (Social Justice, Media influence on our Faith, Sexuality, Learning the Mass, etc.). Each session is 5-6 weeks long. Sessions are on Sunday & Monday nights during the school year. - Youth Group meets on a monthly basis. The objective is to gather for faith-based fun and fellowship. All teens 8th grade and up and their friends of all faiths are welcome and encouraged to attend. - Sacramental preparation for Confirmation. Starting in September of each year, this process is for those 10th graders of our Parish who are ready to complete their initiation into the Catholic Church. - Adult Faith Formation. This program consists of a number of groups for adults who are interested in growing in their knowledge and practice of the faith. These ministries include . . . - The Men’s Spirituality Group of the parish gather to reflect on the Sunday Gospel, to pray, share and discuss topics related to our Catholic faith. - Bible Study offers study and reflection on the Bible. Topics are chosen with input from the participants. - Centering Prayer introduces parishioners to a quiet form of prayer and support. - 12 Step Spirituality Group integrates principles of the twelve steps of addiction or compulsion into a Christian way of life. - Spiritual Direction is available for individuals who are seeking a deeper relationship with God. - Side Altar Talks are led by the priests of the parish who teach about specific topics during Advent.
